We used to make things in this country #337 Vivian Diesels

Vivian Engine works was run by Will Vivian from 1909 up till the mid fifties. The company started building small marine gas engines but in the 1920s started making diesel engines for the west coast fishing fleet and by WW2 was making large slow-turning diesels for tugboats, trawlers and other ships, playing a big part in the defense industry. Vivian seems to have been active in 1954 but there is little information after Canadian Car and Foundry took it over shortly after that.
