I'm trying to decide of this stylized aircraft is actually from the 40s or if it came much later- the materials look like the decor of the seventies. The lack of airfoil and propeller contours put me off and I guess the plane is an uncomfortable blend of Boeing 312 Clipper and Lancaster bomber morphing into a 50s airliner.
What's the term for those slot/phillips screws holding the props, and when did they come into use? Agree that this isn't Deco - just too clumsy.

looks like something from a furniture store display. if you purchase the whole living room set they threw it in for free with the deal.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, those screws can't be original. (Mcmaster Carr calls them Pan Head Combination Phillips/Slotted Screws) I think I see them more commonly in electrical components.
