This is a different approach to manufacturing an axe head. No manufacturers name that I could see. Picking it up there is a distinct lack of weight, and it would seem that the rivets would work loose.

Perhaps it's a misbegotten "camper's axe." Is the handle shorter than one would expect?
Handle was of a normal length, but it could have been replaced. It looked more neglected than worn out so it was never anyone's serious tool...
