We used to make things in this country #365 Polson Ironworks

Overall layout for an unnamed cargo carrier drawn around the turn of the last century. Polson Iron Works was based in Toronto and began operations in 1886. After a move to Owen Sound for tax purposes, the company returned to Toronto when Owen Sound did not renew their tax-free status where it continued to build ships and other heavy mechanical items till just past the end of WW1. The company had been quite busy in that time, they launched more than 70 boats. It is not known if this one was completed.
