-Hawker Typhoon R7855

I scanned this colour plate from the undated 22 page book Camouflage and Markings, Hawker Tornado Typhoon and Tempest by R C Jones and R L Ward, published by Ducimus Books.

What appear to be D-Day stripes are actually the stripe pattern painted on the bottom of Typhoon wings from May 1942 on. This colour plate seems to be the reference for a number of model kit painting instructions, including ones from FROG and Revell.
