I worked in a Chevy service department in the 80's and they were indispensable...literally everybody had one in their pocket. Often a 1/4-in socket and ratchet would hit the side tray before the terminal would back out completely, or the socket would fall down into the tray (won't make your 0.3 flat-rate taking the battery back out) and a wrench takes forever. Indispensable, I say!

For the Metric size, why wouldn't you just have it as 8mm? D.
