One of my ongoing projects involves moving furniture-sized rocks with a pulley/cable system. Years ago I acquired a heavy duty (supposedly) military-surplus pulley. It incorporated an ingenious latch system to allow a quick insertion of the cable. Tip the big hook 90 degrees to unlatch a link, drop the cable in and reverse the process to use the system.
Recently I needed to get a second pulley and ended up on Amazon for the 30 ton snatch block shown here. It does what the previous one did but with a much simpler mechanism, using just three parts (one used twice) and a circlip. I think it's brilliant, but maybe I just impress easily.

This is not meant to be a negative comment at all, but is there anything Vevor won't put their name on? You could probably outfit your entire life with Vevor products. I have two Vevor electric motors I got from amazon and am happy with them...they were maybe 60% of the cost of an equivalent Harbor Freight branded motor (my only option other than Grainger for an OTC motor).
But it is funny: https://www.amazon.com/VEVOR/s?k=VEVOR
The swing sides idea is really clever, as long as there's no - or very little - rattle room between the two sides. Nyloc nuts ahoy! D.
Do you come quietly by night, move people's big rocks, surveille their property until you see that they've put the rocks back where they had them, and then move them again? Over and over, for years?
That was my hobby too, until I got shot.

I can’t say.
Yeah, not happy with having to use the brand, whatever it is. Just a disposable item for me. The Vevor name is cast into it- but no patent or anything. I see lighter stamped versions on the market too.
I have looked at some clones on amazon and some of the comments complain about cheesy snap rings on the sheave. Keep an eye on them.
It comes with a spare snap ring. Not a good sign.
Snap rings are easy to lose...I'm going to be optimistic and hope they're just being thoughtful and including a spare so you don't have to go digging through the mud or grass looking for the one that went flying. They're not on machines that see hard or frequent use but both of the Vevor motors I bought run smooth and quiet, and they look good too. I had need for customer service (shipping damage not even their fault) and they handled it literally overnight, probably at a loss of any profit they made from what they sold me. So I'm hopeful you're going to be happy.
