Here's an odd little adjustable C clamp from Stearns, made for some decorative purpose, I would guess, they made a wide variety of clamps, previous post here.
I particularly like the 'curlicue' at the bottom of the moving jaw. Good looks on industrial objects has been lost to the gods of efficiency and economy.
I thought it might be a part of some sort of clamping system, but in fact they did make a 3-incher:
