Morton M5 Model Airplane Engine

This engine is a four stroke 5 cylinder radial engine of 0.92 cu. inches capacity (or 0.18 cu. inch per cylinder). For comparison, your moped is a massive 3.5 cu inches (50 cc).
It was designed by Glen Morton of Morton Brothers Aviation, Omaha, NE who made biplanes back in the 30's-early 40's. These engines were made during WW2 primarily as a teaching tool for mechanics rather than for powering model airplanes. Less than 1500 were made so obviously very rare. It's hard to imagine how small this engine is but as these video show, it will fit in the palm of your hand.
