Charles Maginley ; The Ships of Canada's Marine Services, Vanwell Publishing 2003
The Lambton was a steam-powered steel lighthouse tender built in 1909 at the Canadian Government Shipyard at Sorel QC. She was stationed in the Great Lakes, based at Parry Sound. In April 1922 she began her first trip of the year into Lake Superior with 22 crew and lighthouse keepers, was caught in a storm and was lost with all hands near Caribou Island about 75 miles north of Sault Ste Marie.
