SS Jaguar 100

Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, Jaguar, Jaguar Cars, 1990

SS cars made 314 of these beautiful two seater sports cars between 1936 and 1940, the 100 name reflecting the expected top speed in miles per hour. The Jaguar name was a nod to the fashion of the time for animal names for vehicles. A larger 3.5 litre engine was introduced in 1938, thus increasing the top speed to an actual 100 mph.
