Fairchild Flying Boxcar

Another interesting airplane at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. This is C-119 Flying Boxcar, a cargo plane based on ease of loading, the rear end of the fuselage opens into two full size barn doors, requiring the twin boom tail. According to Wikipedia 58 remain in museums, out of apparently out of nearly 1200 built.
Unfortunately we have none in Canada though the RCAF operated 35 of them from 1953 till 1967.
