Design rendering by Bertrand Goldberg

1949 rendering by architect and industrial designer Bertrand Goldberg of a refrigerated Swift Cold Front Express truck for the Pressed Steel Car Company. This company built mainly railway cars, was closed in 1956 and I can find no evidence that the truck in the rendering was ever built.

Hmmm, something about this trailer wants me to park two of them next to each other. Typical male I'd guess. Lol. The 30's to the 50's and partially in the 60's were full of wonderful designs. Instead of the ugly boxes and bland jelly bean cars we have now.

I was reminded of the Labatts streamliner when I saw it. Styling and srreamline was king! https://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2013/04/1947-labatt-streamliner-again.html
