Bridgestone Mach II by Rockford

In 1969 you could buy a 200cc Mach II from Bridgestone, for a Mach III you'd have to go to Kawasaki. I expect there were lawyers talking to each other...

I would pay one million dollars for that bike if in as new perfect unrestored condition them paint it brown metal flake. DO NOT TOUCH sign parked on a slowly revolving turntable in my living room on a brown carpet rug with display lights and a maroon velvet rope.

The day is going to come - and it will happen sooner than you think - when someone will call your bluff by showing up with the EXACT bike you've offered one million dollars for.

I just hope I'm here when that happens.

I say I "would" pay one million dollars not I "will" pay. that's my way out.

A unique feature of the Mach II was the “Sport Shift” dual-mode transmission, which featured a small hand-operated lever high on the left side of the transmission. Shifting the lever forward put the transmission into a 4-speed rotary shift pattern, with neutral between fourth gear and first gear, and with the gear pattern repeated endlessly by pressing down on the foot shift. Shifting the lever rearward brought an overdrive fifth gear into play and made the transmission shift in the regular one down, four up pattern, with neutral between first and second gear.

I’d like to see that transmission in an exploded view.
