Clear the track!

Not sure what's going on here or the year, but that is a Peter Witt streetcar, (introduced in 1921) being held up by a 1905 Ford Model B stalled on the tracks?

maybe just maybe and who knows really but it IS possible that the street has some ice and the car is kinda stuck, just maybe though, and also possibly.

Ice or not, if fatso climbed down out of it they could easily push the thing out of the way.

I hope all of the pASSengers, like 40 of them, were yelling none-stop at him to git his stupid car the hell out of the way. one tiny skinny old lady was yelling some strong filthy language we can't type on blog comments, her voice was shrill and loud for such a small old lady. she was so mad...

Or maybe fatso's a well-known neighbourhood wiseguy, and no one's in a hurry to try a new pair of cement shoes, so the whole scene is eerily quiet.

He does have that wiseguy look.

The other characters sure look smug. I bet Marshal is right (god help us), and Fatso's skinny tires have encountered a little ice and/or gotten trapped in the slick tram-track declivity.

It really seems as though everyone but the driver is smiling. But not the streetcar driver. I'd love to hear the actual story.

It lived on in Toronto lore as the most exciting thing ever to happen on Yonge St. before 1980.
