Monday Mystery, Vaco RT-14

  Ok, we're overstating the mystery aspect here, but we have a question from Russ about when this Vaco RT-14 set of interchangeable screw and nut drivers might have been manufactured. He has just finished the fine detailing of the set and pouch that once belonged to his late uncle John.  Keep those old tools working...

A local electronics store got bought out and the new owners were cleaning out. I bought a bunch of these blades for a dollar a piece.

The RT-14 set appears in what they're calling a 1953 brochure (I don't see a date printed on it so can't be sure) as a "TV and Radio Kit." So it's a start:

Looks like it was made up till 1976 as it’s in the 76 catalog. When I got into the tool biz in 79 we were a Vaco distributor. I remember it as a high quality line, while not real broad, but good stuff. I’ve heard people on the interweb pronounce it vah-co but it was pronounced vay-co back in the day.
