the Sportster is missing it's front fender increasing drag slowing it down just enough to loose the race. the poor Honda has mirrors and the rider isn't tucked down far enough. I demand a retest.
50+ years later I still want one. That $995 sounds cheap but back then that was BIG money. I'd have to work in concrete construction in SW FLA for a month (1972) and a half to have that much coin.

Three fingers on the clutch, the Kwack rider knows they had to jet it so lean to win it, it's a toss-up wether it's going to seize on him...
The people who covet Kawi triples can't die off soon enough. Junk.
Rode all three a lot back in the day. When it came to acceleration the other two were absolutely left sucking two-stroke fumes. Not even close.
I liked my 250; my first big bike. Went well enough and sounded great. D.
