1956 Jaguar XK140

British Car Day

One of my vices is vises, Powr Kraft

I passed on this vise for sale at the Barber Vintage swap meet. Although I was not familiar with the name, it appeared to be good quality and in good shape.
According to the Garage-Journal site Powr Kraft is a rebadged Wilton made for Montgomery Ward. The price seemed fair but it was hot... and a long walk...
Wilton history here.

Kawasaki Z-1 at Barber

The launch Japansky

D.W. Fostle, Speedboat, Mystic Seaport Museum 1988
In the fall of 1904 the fast launch Japansky rolls to port from the torque of the engine as she accelerates to speed. The hull shape was state of the art for that time but was soon obsolete.
