1968 Sprint CRS

This was a horizontal 350cc single, built for HD by the Aermacchi company in Italy. Check out the winning features like pebble finish racing stripe and a 12000 rpm tach- when the engine made max power at 7000 rpm. Still, it's a good looking bike!

Good enough to repair?

We've done a post on the Judd clamps before, still not much info on the company. One of the commenters refers to a 2" clamp he found that had been repaired, Here's a 3" with the same repair! Maybe why the company disappeared.

Chromavan 8" Stickleback wrench

I understand this type of adjustable wrench is called a Stickleback. That, and "Germany" are crudely stamped next to the handle area.

Spring break up

I've posted this before, it might be more relevant this year in the Ukraine...
The "Rasputitsa"- the season without roads, spring breakup - stopped everything on the Eastern front as the snow melted.

Brooklands 500 1934 Program cover

Moyer School Supplies

Classy tin box for 144 pieces of blackboard chalk... Amaco is American Art Clay Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Moyer is the name of the supplier of school supplies, notably the notebooks known to all Canadian students of a certain age... The company started in 1884 and seems to have petered out under several partnership iterations in the 1990s.

Ford Transit bus

Windsor wartime street scene, with Ford's 27 seat Transit buses much in evidence, as well as the streetcar tracks. The Sandwich, Windsor and Amherstburg  Railway company started buying them soon after they were introduced in 1937, by the end of WW2 they had a fleet of 177. They were powered by a front mounted V8 flathead engine, the bodies were built by Brantford Coach. In the background is the Detroit skyline, note the sign to the tunnel.
