 No wonder we don't remember the Rex motorcycle.

Doing it a bit of research, it seems that the American Rex was based on the Rex manufactured in Munich, Germany between 1948 and 1964, which were powered by two-stroke engines were of 31cc, 34cc, 40cc, and 49cc. It is interesting to see that the advertisement dates from April 1964 - was the United Rex Motor Corporation an attempt to try and sell old Rex motorcycles on the American market?

Not a lot of info on that make. The engine does look fairly contemporary, possibly the ubiquitous Minarelli unit? I've never seen one in the flesh.
