We used to make things in this country. #41: Durable Tools









Above, a very old boxed socket set, a pair of slip-joint pliers, a box-end wrench, an adjustable wrench, and a monkey wrench made by Durable Tools of Canada.  I have been unable to find any information on this tool maker.

I don't think there was a company per se; I believe Durable was yet another trademark of Gray Tools.

Your set could be purchased at Canadian Tire in 1954...
