Its the summer of 1950 and crowds assemble for the final runs of the streetcar service in Buffalo and possibly to celebrate their replacement by buses. Streetcar service, which had been part of the city's public transit since the 1860s was replaced by buses in a series of steps from 1941 till 1950.
30 years later the LRT was reintroduced to Buffalo with the opening of the new 6 mile metro rail line along Main Street.
