South Bend Turret lathe, 1942

This machine and others like it were the staple of manufacturing for a long time, now they sit forlornly at places like HGR Industrial Surplus in Cleveland.

There used to be one at a place I worked, COE Manufacturing in Brampton... now long gone. I got to use it twice.
