Mick Walker, Cafe Racers of the 1960s, Windrow and Greene, 1994 |
The German Adler was a two stroke twin built from 1952 till the company went out business in 1957. Its bore and stroke of 54x54 probably was the starting point for the Japanese twins that came along in the sixties. This one is made into a cafe racer by a German fan, hopping it up with chambers, dellOrto carbs and a front end from a Ducati single.

I hate to even imagine the racket that handsome little thing must have made.
Is that a radiator up front of the fuel tank?
the Adler motocross bike looked cool-https://instanttractiondeluxe.blogspot.com/2020/07/blog-post_44.html
Ha! -- yes. Nothing gonna break that frame! How much would you guess it weighs?
What is that radiator-looking thing? Looking online its described as aircooled. https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Adler/Adler%20MB%20250%20RS.htm
The motocrosser certainly is unique...
