Aviatrix (love that out-of-date word!) Amelia Earhart tests out a rubber life raft before setting off on her record-breaking solo Hawaii to California flight. She planned to survive on tomato juice, chocolate and malted milk tablets until she was rescued. She didn't need any of it. BTW, malted milk was not considered a candy at that time.
Two and half years later, she set off around the world.

chocolate covered malted milk balls like you get in theaters? or in shopping malls? you eat so many chocolate covered malted balls the inside of yer mouth gets scratched bloody before you stop, realizing you ate WAAAY to much sugar and salt. so you drink tomato juice to sooooth the sore raw bleeding mouth. then an hour later, after the diarrhea and dehydration with diabetic shock setting in, you start talking to the fish, bobbing up and down in the waves, hot burning sun drinking juice and balls sitting in diarrhea waiting to be found and rescued.
