Monday Mystery leatherworking tool?

Might be a leatherworking tool to mark out parallel lines of stitches? I don't know. Thoughts?

Yep, that's exactly what it is. Double thonging chisel. Used to mark and punch holes for sewing straps together. Nice tool!

Here's the only picture I could find of one in use...they're not common, that's for sure. I'm thinking maybe they break easily, and it's not difficult to mark out and punch parallel lines with a single-row chisel. But for production use it would be a great tool:

I suspect this modern version id two single-row punches fastened together, under the plastic sleeve.

I didn't so much mean "break" easily as I meant twist out of parallel. Tools get dropped a lot lol.

I was thinking some sort of stone carving detail chisel or similar, but it looked too fragile.Image search brought up only the single row type. I know nothing of leatherworking- but I see it involves all sorts of interesting tools. Thanks, guys!

It does look a lot like a mutant toothed mason's chisel, particularly the handle. But realistically, it would break apart after a few hits I would think.
