Small Douglas


Looks like a scaled down early 20's motorcycle, Dad looks very proud. Wonder what the story is.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but this is the caption (in Russian) under the photo here:

"E.W. White - the senior foreman of the Douglas plant with the miniature working exact copy of the company's motorcycle that he created, released in several copies for wealthy customers from India. White subsequently became the plant manager.

Some sources claim that these are members of the Douglas family itself, but the years don't add up."

after school Boy Roderick would ride his mini Douglas over to the airport for to take his biplane wing walker lessons.

Thanks for finding that. In all my days of reading old British motorcycle magazines, I've never heard of it and it would be the most collectable things ever!
