Some sources claim that these are members of the Douglas family itself, but the years don't add up."
Thanks for finding that. In all my days of reading old British motorcycle magazines, I've never heard of it and it would be the most collectable things ever!

after school Boy Roderick would ride his mini Douglas over to the airport for to take his biplane wing walker lessons.
