Crosby Laughlin hook

Just another beautiful object in an antique store, it would be a shame to put this large old hook back into service, put it in a frame and just enjoy the visuals. Not sure how old this is but Crosby and Laughlin started in 1836 and seem to be the industry standard even today. Here is a link to an odd blog entry that reads like AI though it dates back to 2012. That particular hook is called a "sorting hook;" it's designed not to grab a chain but to pick up flat stock and round pipe from their edges. Imagine a big pile of steel and you need the piece at the bottom. It's hard to read but yours has a Safe Working Load of 2 Tons.

I imagine a hook like that would find all sorts of uses on a farm as well.
