Anodized aluminum drinkware

I don't recall any of the drinkware in this ad but does anyone remember these very cool (cold) metal tumblers? The blue anodized ones were beautiful...

Yes, I remember! Not the styles shown, but a set of simpler, one piece tumblers AND a set of cereal / soup bowls. I still have a yellow bowl, but seldom use it. It's cold to hold if it is filled with milk or ice cream, and very hot to hold if it is filled with hot soup. You can't break it or wear it out (although the color is begining to wear through and you could dent it). I don't know what happened to the rest of them, but I suspect my mother threw them out. She was worried that aluminum may cause Alzheimer's disease.

My mother and your mother both!

Some neighbor kid's mom served our funny-tasting water in those. Yup, the blue was pretty; there was a strangely attractive purple as well.

Oh yeah, we had a whole set of the tumblers, but not the "footed" kind. My folks used them for years for drinks at picnics and lawn parties.

There were also metal rods with a basket shape on top that the tumblers fit into, Dad would poke them into the ground beside the lawn chairs.
