Future of aviation

This was the future! But English Electric was merged into the British Aircraft Corporation along with Vickers-Armstrong, Bristol Aircraft and Hunter aircraft in 1958, only a year after this ad.

Chrysler-Boeing 756460 Windshield Locking Strip Insert Tool

Not a tool I'm likely to find a need for but I did like the textured aluminum handle. They're presumably still useful, another one here.

"Clean" craft coal

Maybe with the worldwide move away from coal, we can rejuvenate the industry as a craft medium!

Bikes in the 'hood; Kawasaki triple

This looks pretty much like it could have looked in the early eighties, pulled out of a garage after half decade of sitting, a little rough around the edges... Sporting the obligatory pipes and pod air filters- it's probably every bit obnoxious as they ever were.

Monday Mystery

This is another one of the collection of random and unrelated mounted images with no captions.

Fits to the human face like a gasmask, but after that...your guess is as good as mine.

The Churchill Machine Tool Company

This was one of a collection of a few random and unrelated mounted images at an antique store.
This image is probably from the 1950s, but there was no caption provided. I'd never heard of the Churchill Machine Tool company, they seem to specialize in surface grinders. The company is still around today and from the site: The Churchill Machine Tool Company have been providing solutions for industries such as aerospace, steel, utilities, medical and pharmaceutical, education and food/drink for over a century. It was first founded in 1906 by Charles Churchill, an American machine tool manufacturer who created the company in order to adapt and improve upon the products he imported from the United States. By the late 1910s, ‘Churchills’ were manufacturing grinding machines of their own design from their plant in Broadheath, Manchester.
Lathes.co.uk has a section on the company.
