For those seriously interested in this topic, there's the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto. Bata shoes were once manufactured in Batawa, near Trenton Ontario but the factory, which opened in 1939, was closed in 2000. Bata also closed the last of its 250 Canadian stores in 2005. The company is now headquartered in Switzerland.
