Streetcar snow plough

Looking like nothing more than a flatcar with a cab and plow added, work car W-9 clears the way for two TTC street cars.

The Sydney tram system also had some unusual vehicles - there was a tram converted with a gantry to allow repairs to be made to the overhead wiring. My favourite was the prison tram, which carried prisoners from the Darlinghurst Court House to the Long Bay prison in the southern suburbs between 1909 and 1948.
