Auburn Rubber Toy Tractor

One of a line of moulded hard vinyl toys made by the Auburn Rubber Company. The Auburn Rubber company got out of the tire business in the 1920s and started manufacturing rubber toys in 1935, later also moulding in vinyl. At one time they were one of the largest producers of rubber toys in the world.
This nicely detailed tractor was found in a crawlspace during renovations of a Victorian rowhouse in Toronto. The lettering on the tires is "Allstate" possibly implying a Sears connection?
Finally, aren't all toys like this missing the operators head?
  More on Auburn Rubber here.

Below is another one of Auburn's cast rubber/vinyl toys, this time a model of the GM Aerotrain, about 10 inches long. Except for the freight trucks, it's actually a pretty good rendition.
