F.E. Lindström invented wire cutters in the mid-1850's and founded Lindstrom Precision Tools in Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1856. At first, the customer base was dominated by watchmakers and jewelry makers, but the electronic, aerospace and medical fields now comprise the largest part of their marketplace. The Lindstrom Brand is now owned by SNAEurope, the successor to Bahco AB, part of the Snap-on, Incorporated conglomerate.
