What are these? Seem to be some sort of primitive ratchet-like cast iron things that seem to work in the same rotation direction, and come in different sizes.

I’m leaning towards frames for holding / pouring molten metals into forms
There look to be names cast into the handles which would probably be definitive clues but I'm going to throw out a WAG that they're some kind of tool for putting caps on milk bottles (I have a small collection of different size milk bottles with different neck diameters) or something like that.
Mr G I am thrown by "... seem to work in the same rotation direction ...". Seems like understanding is just out of reach, jeering, like a squirrel tormenting a chained mongrel. Please clarify, if your patience allows.
I just meant the ramps in all of the examples slope up in the same clockwise direction. Not sure that’s any clearer, I should have turned them all over. Dave, there are mostly-illegible letters and numbers, but all tools are different.
