After the purposeful styling of the sixties T250s, the GT was a disappointment. Still worked great, but the Ram Air head probably wasn't needed and that is not an attractive colour.

I never had one, but my impression is that the dopy-looking shroud did a good deal for cooling. I've seen a number of street-based two-stroke road racers with homemade shrouds, though of course they may be intended just to strike fear in their competitors' hearts. --rats
