1971 you walk to the Yamaha shop. then you buy one brand new. then ride it across the road over to the shop where they custom paint vans. git those goofs to hurry UP and paint it metal flake. then tell everybody your's came with the metal flake paint from the factory. install a gray Preston Petty front fender with the Preston Petty high mount front fender bracket. remove the lights excerpt for the head light. install knobby rear tire. now yer good to go. yes you ride it on the street. when the police pull you over you tell them it's a dirt bike, no need for a license plate... while you are debating offer the policeman a cigarette. invite him to give your Yamaha Metal Flake 90 a test ride... he'll ask you to return the street parts and git a tag in order not to receive a ticket. you will agree and he'll let you pASS this time. but of course you won't.
From the era when people thought nothing of reading 50-, 100-, even 150-word advertisements and didn't have to lie down afterwards to get their thoughts in order.
