1956 Magirus Deutz 4WD Truck brochure

Looks like one tough truck.

Magirus began by manufacturing firefighting equipment in 1864. In the 1910s they started building trucks and buses known for quality and toughness. In 1938 the company was acquired by Klöckner Humboldt Deutz who by 1942 were supplying aircooled diesels as power. The model S3500 was introduced in 1946.
The company was sold to Iveco in 1975. Though the trucks are gone, the Magirus name continues in firefighting equipment.
