The "Oriten" was built around 1898 by the Waltham Manfacturing Company in Massachusetts. It measured 23 feet 9 inches and weighed in at 305 pounds. It's now on display at the Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Incidentally, the Waltham Manufacturing Company produced America's first motorcycle. Company co-founder Charles Herman Metz is credited with being the first to use the word "motor cycle" in an 1899 advertisement for the company's "Orient" motor bicycle.
