Airborne, A heritage stamp collection, Canada Post
The first aircraft built at Canadian Vickers in Montreal is rolled out on December 2, 1942. Previous post here. The Canadian Boeing plant in Vancouver had gotten up to speed earlier, they flew their first on July 26, 1942. I'm looking but so far have not found any images of the Canadian Boeing works...
2 sources I have found for Boeing Canada (Vancouver) information are:
In Richmond http://seaisland1.homestead.com/Boeing.html
And Coal Harbour (near Stanley Park) From City of Vancouver Archives http://searcharchives.vancouver.ca/boeing-aircraft-co-of-canada-flying-boat-production-room-showing-construction-of-c204-thunderbird-aircraft-2 Looking at other photos in this collection, it seems that they probably built more ships than planes at this site.
