Thistle by Nathanial Herreshoff

A dramatic photo of the 102 foot yawl built by the Herreshoff yards in 1928. Original cost for the bronze on steel boat was $121,000. The boat was last recorded as operational in 1976 at 48 years of age, but has apparently since been destroyed.
