Sterling Continental typewriter
The Sterling Continental name sounds British but it was in fact produced by Wanderer-Werke in Siegmar-Schönau, Germany. The portable typewriter was made during the 1930s and 1940s and is known for its mechanical precision and reliability.

I can't quite make out the label that says "WILSON" on the upper right of the machine and inside the case lid. I'd guess it to be the name of the importer/retailer, but I'd like it to be the model of typewriter. Saleman: "This is our 'Wilson" model, you can see it's a step above the 'Jones' that your secretary uses, but you should really consider our top of the line 'Rothchild' to give your correspondence the gravity it deserves."
