1914 GP Alfa

Gianni Marin, The Motor Car, London House and Maxwell 1963
This racing model Alfa with a 4.5 litre DOHC four was intended for the 1914 French Grand Prix but did not take part. It did compete in the Brescia Grand Prix in 1921 and covered the flying kilometer at an average speed of 91.7 mph. This appears to be only the second example of a double overhead cam configuration, the first being a 4 valve Peugeot in 1912.

Junkers J.IV armoured aircraft update

I did a post on this WW1 aircraft back in January 2016. The last time I was at the museum it was deep in storage. Well I'm happy to report that this, the only example in existence, has been put on display in the main building despite its somewhat tattered condition.
