Vans (cabooses) number 437110 and 437111 were built as standard length cars in the 1930s but had ten feet cut out of them in 1944 to serve on a line with switchbacks near Trail BC. The shorter length allowed one more ore car per train. No. 437111 at least, appears to have lasted into the '80s.
