Vanished Tool Makers: Clipper Tool Company, Buffalo, New York





Above, what I assume is an oil-barrel spout.  I've had it hanging on my shop wall for years.

The Clipper Tool Company seems to have specialized in castings like this one, since other offerings on the web include oil lamp wall sconces and C-clamps. Below, from the web:



They also made large bench vises, but the most common product encountered on the web is their "Neverbreak" saw filing clamp (below, from the web) based on a 1906 American patent.  Since there seem to be so many still around, I guess they never did break.
