The British Information Services was the information department of the British Consulate in New York. According to WikiSpooks, in 1946 BIS gave collector Kent D. Eastin 50,000 of their World War II films, all for the cost of freight to his company, Blackhawk Films, Inc., in Davenport, Iowa.
