Seen on Marketplace. Rather disappointing for something that doesn't look very old or misused... I expect this is shoddy material rather than misuse?
Maybe a little of both is my guess.
It's usually the cast part that breaks. The sliding bar to tighten the jaws isn't bent, so I suspect a manufacturing defect in the Acme-threaded part. D.
