Soon after Triumph introduced the Speed Twin in 1937, Ivan Wickspeed and Marius Winslow built this supercharged version to go after speed records at Brooklands. After months of work the record was taken at 124 mph. Efforts to improve that were unsuccessful and in the next few years the bike was disassembled and went the way of all things.
At some time in the 80s a replica was constructed. Here it is on display, with an older Ivan Wickspeed sitting on the seat.
