Trojan built a line of economical light cars and commercial vehicles in post Great war Britain. Powered by a horizontal four cylinder two stroke, actually a split-single twin (if you can get your head around that!) it was not a great performer, top speed of about 30 mph... quite enough on solid rubber tires (pneumatic optional). Apparently the Achilles model sported a fabric body, no explanation is given of the actual construction. It sold for about the same as a Model T in England but by the 1930s the public was losing interest in this type of car. I think Id like to own one of these oddballs!
The company made commercial vans into the 50s.
