Yep, we need the Scout again. And Volkswagen is set to deliver one, an all electric version. I had a Scout II, 1976 Bicentennial edition. One of my all time favorite vehicles. I removed the hard top and had an after market convertible top and roll bar for summer recreational use in Northwest Montana Mountains. Winter, the hardtop was back, a snowplow attached, and I cleared a number of residential driveways when it snowed. V8 and four on the floor. Required very little maintenance. After about 10 years, the body seams started to crack, but it didn't have much rust. Once again, thank you for taking me down memory lane Mr. G
